Sinopsis

A perspective that explores the role of muses in the history of Western art, highlighting their close connection to the work of so-called great geniuses as co-creators. Renowned artists of the past are portrayed in a contemporary context, aiming to challenge their biases and expose the power they exerted over their muses. This modern take on classical artists sheds light on the persistence of these issues today, inviting a critical reassessment of power dynamics within the art world.

Synopsis

An old man with a limp, Khim-Hok, has depended on his wife over the years. They live in an old house on the urban fringe of Taipei. After his wife suddenly passes away, Khim-Hok covers it up and goes on living a seemingly peaceful life. But their long-estranged son and his new partner suddenly appear, so Khim-Hok has to face his wife’s death when the end finally comes.

Synopsis

Pepe arrives at the building, after a marital and business failure. At fifty, he is lost. Fortunately, an old friend gives him the opportunity to live, for a while, in his mother’s old apartment. There he will meet Sara, a young and intelligent woman who comes from an NGO to take care of Leonor. The work has been exhibited in renowned museums such as 1646 Experimental Art Space in The Hague, Netherlands, and CA2M in Madrid, Spain.

Synopsis

As they silently observe those relics belonging to broken relationships, they perceive the nostalgia for an already exhausted feeling, which last throes show them that their journey is a flight forward.

This story is a small x-ray of the sentimental relationships of today’s society, which after completing the first three stages of the natural cycle of a couple, tend to stagnate, due to the lack of common projects, the dictatorship of capitalist desire or the insecurity as a result of affective deficiencies during childhood. It is an intimate and generational drama, told from the point of view of three female protagonists, in which the complexity of human nature and the decadence of love dialogue with the landscape.
